THIS IS A READVERTISEMENT. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY. THIS POST MAY ALSO BE OFFERED AS A SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Clinical Trials Manager to join our expanding team at the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit (ORTU).
The Senior Clinical Trials Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing the set up and management of a number of trials conducted at ORTU and providing support to the Head of Operations and Clinical Director. You will initially be working on a programme of COPD and asthma studies, some of which are CTIMPs.
You will work both as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and independently. You will be able to plan and prioritise, work to deadlines and have an enthusiastic approach to challenges. A thorough working knowledge of the relevant regulatory, ethical, legislative and research governance requirements relevant to clinical trials and experience of supervising, mentoring or training staff are essential.
The postholder must either have a science related degree or nursing qualification or demonstrate considerable experience in the set-up and ongoing monitoring and management of large complex clinical trials. We would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which the appointment would be at Grade 6 (£29,176 – £34,804 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly.
This post is full-time and fixed-term for up to 1 year in the first instance.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
